Safe Child Exchange and Supervised Visitation Program

The Helping Place Safe Child Exchange Program provides a safe venue by which children can be exchanged for visitations between parents or guardians. Supervised exchanges will take place at our facility and are designed to allow exchanges without interaction between the parties. Providing children with a safe, predictable environment with friendly staff may allow the children to enjoy their visits more and experience less stress. Fees are based on a sliding scale with each parent applying independently for the service. Fees range between $5 per parent to $20 per parent per exchange. To enroll, each parent must separately make an appointment to go over the rules and each parent must agree to abide by the rules. Call to schedule today! Referrals are accepted from families, child protective services, local law enforcement and the courts.

The Helping Place also offers two levels of Supervised Visitation- Supervised Visitation Level 1: "Observational Supervision" - on site visitation conducted by trained staff and/or trained volunteers. This is the most common and affordable means of having supervised visitation. Supervised Visitation Level 2: "Interactive Supervision" - visits that combine supervised visitation with active feedback from a licensed mental health professional with advanced degrees and training.In cases where supervised visitation is necessary, we will accept recommendations from the Courts and Child Protective Services.
