Counseling

Listening, validating, reframing, educating, advising, coaching... counseling takes many forms. It is dynamic and almost never boring. Finding fault and blaming is seldom helpful and just keeps you distracted from the things you need to work on. Accepting responsibility for yourself is very empowering. Understanding and self-awareness can make a big difference. Making a decision or setting a goal and working toward it can help. Identifying your feelings and learning to communicate effectively can help. Resolving family of origin issues such as abuse or neglect can help. Learning how to respond thoughtfully rather than react emotionally without thinking is helpful. Understanding the difference between aggression and asserting yourself appropriately can help. Learning about depression and ways of dealing with it can be very valuable. Breaking old destructive habits and patterns can be life altering.

Come on in! No problem is too big or too small.
